Job Description

Can Art Aluminum is a privately owned held, North American based extruder of standard and custom aluminum profiles. From initial inquiry to delivery, Can Art has the knowledge, capacity, and capability to handle your requirements and exceed your expectations.The Stretcher Operator is responsible to ensure all products are stretched appropriately according to customer specifications, ensuring that parts meet quality requirements.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to manage the stretcher controls, ensuring that the proper settings are entered so that parts are not over or under stretched
  • Understand the stretcher settings and the impact that each setting has on different materials
  • Prepare any extruded material for the stretching process
  • Detect defects on extruded materials such as stretching and bowing and alert the Press Operator as appropriate
  • Able to use measuring devices such as a square and caliper
  • Assist in other areas on the line, such as packing, as needed
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times
  • Responsible to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company Policies
Qualification Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years #39; experience in a machine operator capacity
  • Previous experience in heavy manufacturing is an asset
