Job DescriptionReporting to the Manager, Corporate Finance and Reporting, the Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) provides financial insight that is instrumental to drive organizational objectives. The SFA is a key point of contact for the organization #39;s business leaders and represents finance on a cross-functional team for the day-to-day basics through to strategic initiatives.This role provides analytical support within Corporate Finance and Reporting and is responsible for financial and statistical reporting to the Ministry of Health, Ontario Health, Central West LHIN and other internal and external stakeholders.This role works closely with leaders to ensure the reporting of actual and planned results is accurate and completed on a timely basis. Uses knowledge of Ontario Cost Distribution Methodology (OCDM), Ontario Hospital Reporting Standards (OHRS), Management Information System (MIS), Ontario Case Costing Initiative (OCCI), etc. reporting frameworks to make recommendations that ensure the highest level of data quality to support financial and operational decision making. It provides analysis of trends of the financial and operational performance of the organization as compared to hospital accountability performance standards, and as benchmarked against peers.The successful candidate has expert knowledge of the MIS Trial Balance and Self Reporting Initiative (SRI) submissions, is a champion of internal controls and takes initiative to review policies and processes to identify opportunities and further enhance the quality of the hospital datasets and reported results.Confident and effective interpersonal and communication skills allow them to identify and deliver relevant information, incorporating actual financial and statistical analysis. As a subject matter expert, the SFA must be able to present information accurately and concisely, be attentive to detail, work independently on time sensitive tasks, and manage multiple priorities within short turnaround times.Accountabilities:
