Students will learn about judicial methodology and penal policy of the Canadian government. Students will examine various sentencing options that are appropriate for particular crimes. Students may meet with different practitioners working with victims of crimes and punished offenders including probation and parole officers, judges and victims services workers.Qualifications – Required: Master’s DegreeQualifications – Discipline: MA in Criminology or a cognate discipline (e.g. Sociology/Psychology) with a focus on crime or deviance. Work experience in the filed is an asset, as is prior teaching experience.
