It examines the nothing works debate in corrections and reviews the empirical literature on the effectiveness of offender rehabilitation. Topics may include the various treatment approaches undertaken to reduce offending; treatment of specific offender subgroups such as substance abusers, violent offenders, sex offenders, female offenders, and young offenders; and the characteristics of effective programs.Qualifications – Required: Master’s DegreeQualifications – Other: MA in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a cognate discipline (e.g. Sociology, Psychology, MSW) with a focus on crime or deviance. Work experience in the field is an asset, as is prior teaching experience.
