The course content will vary in its focus on curriculum expectations, learning and teaching at different grade levels, depending on Teacher Candidates’ program division (Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate) Course content for Teacher Candidates with subject teaching specialization in History/Geography will include an emphasis on leadership and higher levels of curriculum interpretation and implementation and an enhanced emphasis on Intermediate curriculum and instruction up to and including grade 10.Qualifications – Required: Master’s degree in education or related discipline; Bachelor of Education and/or K – 12 Teaching Certification; K – 12 teaching experience in Social studies.Qualifications – Discipline: Education or related content area.Qualifications - Areas of Specialization: Social studies, history, geography education.Qualifications - Preferred or an asset: Doctoral degree in education or related discipline; post-secondary teaching experience in teacher education; Teaching social studies, history and/or geography in Ontario schools at the junior/intermediate level; School leadership experience in social studies education.Salary: 4,207.50Application Deadline: July 3, 2022Submit with Application:Required for All Applicants
