VG Meats is looking for a General Labourer (Meat Processing) in Simcoe, ON!The General Labourer will be a mature individual who will demonstrate the necessary qualities to perform this position with attention to detail and organization. The general labourer will perform daily material handling/picking, processing, clean-up, and packaging duties. Develop your CAREER with VG Meats!Why should you work for VG MeatsWage: Starting at $15.00 per hour with new programs to help staff progress in their career!Day and afternoon shifts available25% off employee discountA growing company offering many learning experiencesWe are a regenerative employer meaning that the organization continues to build a workplace that is good for its staff, producers, customers and communities.What you will do as the General Labourer:Organize, weigh, package, label products, and fulfill orders.Feed and unload processing machines and assist machine operators with their duties.Remove filled containers from conveyors and manually pack goods into bags, boxes or other containers.Clean work areas and equipment - maintain food safety and housekeeping standards at all times.Transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials throughout the plant and warehouse manually, or with powered equipment.Prepare skids and outgoing orders in preparation for deliveries and error-free shipments.Receive and unload freight and validate all shipped and received materials.Adhere to and abide by all Health and Safety rules, regulations and procedures.Other duties as assignedRequirements/Qualifications:Ability to take directionAbility to work in cold conditionsGood work ethic and organizedExcellent verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbsAbout VG Meats:VG Meats is dedicated to producing high quality, healthy foods through sustainable farming practices.
