Job Description

Primary Purpose:This person will initially be responsible for general admin duties, communications with clients, stock control, and basic remote client support and helpAs this person proves their abilities They will be expected to:Provide customer service to our end-users both in-office and remotely.Use sound judgment and decision making to resolve users’ issuesNavigate, instruct and troubleshoot user issues using remote support tools.Manage/service various technologies including Laptops, Servers, networks, and mobile devices.Working knowledge in Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012-2019.After-hours work may be required to meet business needs and after-hours on-call and vacation coverage.Cultivate a working understanding of networking, TCP/IP, wireless, domain/active directory, and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.Ability to lift safely 40 Lbs (printers, desktop, monitors).Assist with the onsite install of Servers, workstations, racks, and other IT equipment.Required:The candidate should have the following:Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Able to prove initiative and self-motivation with a positive attitude.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and within established timelines.Ability to manage and prioritize assignments.Work to maintain high standards of conduct at the workplace.Proven conflict management skills and the ability to work reliably under stress.A valid driver’s license and willingness to provide a driver’s abstract annually.Some post-secondary education with relevance to the position being offered.Preferably 2 years’ relevant work experience.A good sense of humor.Detail-oriented with an emphasis on organization and accuracy.Punctual, reliable, and self-reliant.PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST LIVE LOCALLY TO BRANTFORD, ONTARIO APPLICANTS OUTSIDE OF THIS AREA WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!About IBC Computers Brantford:IBC Computers has been serving the Brantford, Brant County and surrounding area since 1994.
