Job Description

The main role of our janitorial staff is to ensure the safe and effective sanitation and cleaning of our commercial customers. Janitorial duties will include but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, garbage disposal, dusting, cleaning of washrooms, disinfecting surfaces, cleaning of staff lunchrooms, etc.. The janitor will be responsible for ensuring that all required tasks are completed thoroughly, on time and safely with minimal supervision.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that all common areas, public spaces and washrooms were serviced and cleaned daily by performing general janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, correctly sanitizing customer and staff touch oints, counter tops and garbage disposal
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms including toilets, sinks, mirrors and floors
  • Replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed
  • Remove trash and recycling
  • Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner
  • Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and supplies
  • Restock materials and supplies as needed
  • Continued commitment to high standards of service, exceeding customer expectations
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Highly organized & detail oriented
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Punctuality and reliability is essential
  • Exceptional time management skills required
  • Self motivated, can work well in a team as well as independently
  • Must be in excellent physical condition, heavy lifting required (up to 50 lbs)
  • Safety shoes
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment as prescribed
