The diversity of our talents is what makes our work environment multicultural, innovative and highly rewarding.About the Role:The MDL (Maintenance Line Coordinator) will provide technical support to the Line Teams on straight day shift to ensure optimum production via a proactive approach to equipment maintenance. They will provide technical service such as: Preventative maintenance (PM), Predictive maintenance, spare parts, breakdown troubleshooting/repairs, scheduled repairs, project activity, and continuous improvement in conjunction with the area Lead Hand. Ensure following all company guidelines, policies and good manufacturing practices pertaining to all facets of the business, not limited to and including food safety and health & safety.Main Responsibilities:MAINTENANCE/PRODUCTION

• Ensure the efficient and reliable operation of high speed, complex manufacturing and packaging equipment for designated line;
• Maintain and adjust all machines while respecting the highest levels of safety practices, trade codes, government regulations, production and quality practices
• Communicates findings, best practices and relevant production information to other employees and staff to continuously improve production, quality and safety practices within the organization
• Perform Preventative and Predictive maintenance inspections, report and interpret results to make necessary records relative to inspection procedures, or repairs
• Enhance existing PM’s (e.g add bill of materials, time needed, chemicals used) and propose new PM’s for the specific area.
• Ensure that the finished product is manufactured in accordance with quality standards established by the group and within the projected timelines
• Responsible for continuous improvement methods towards the elimination of production line technical/technological problems
• Contribute new ideas to increase department effectiveness
• Support the resolution of open points from SIM2 meetings
• Responsible management of preventative maintenance program
• Actively support and participate in the implementation of MICO ideas
• Support automation projects
• To have an awareness of the efficiencies of the lines (cc’d in the abstract of the daily and weekly efficiency report sent by RMS)

SCHEDULING

• Supports the scheduling and planning of PM’s.

ADMINISTRATIVE

• Administrative duties as required

GUARANTEE HYGIENE AND SAFETY

• Always work in a safe manner and ensure compliance with established safety rules, policies and procedures.
• Ensure pre-op monitoring checks are completed
• Ensure Critical Control Points checks are completed

QUALITY AND FOOD SAFETY

• Ensure all program requirements/standards regarding quality and food safety are implemented, practiced and maintained

ENVIRONMENTAL

• To assist in the implementation of and conformance to the Environmental Management System within key process areas

Who we are looking for:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong analytical skills, with hands-on technical experience
• A self-starter, driven, with the desire to succeed – ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills and works well under pressure
• Proven skills in troubleshooting, process optimization and continuous improvement
• Ferrero product technical knowledge (in connection with mechanical/industrial application) and technological (relating to the science of the process)
• A fully qualified MDL incumbent is a Mechatronic with required experience/education and or relevant license/certification in the following three areas: Millwright, Electrician and PLC.
• The successful candidate will be required to work toward obtaining the missing certifications as recognized and approved by the Company.
