Job Description

IF YOU ARE INVITED IN FOR AN INTERVIEW YOU MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND AN IN-OFFICE INTERVIEW.The successful candidate will perform the following:

• GMAW welding process of production products.
• Diligent in following sequential steps of setting up a job using a blueprint, tack welding, dimensional verification, welding, and inspection using part fixtures and various product aides.
• Housekeeping and 5S duties on a daily basis.
• Packaging, tagging and labeling along with other manufacturing duties as required.
• This position will require operation of a jib crane (in-house training provided).

Qualifications:

• A minimum 1 year previous experience as a welder, current CWB ticket an asset but not required.
• Must be ableto competently read welding blueprints, use Vernier calipers, and weld size gauges.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Must have high attention to detail, able to follow written and verbal instruction, and work within a communicated timeline.
• Ability to work both independently, and as a team player.
• Good physical capability, and a “can do” attitude is a definite asset.
• Must be able to show proof of Grade 12 diploma if requested.

**Please note, during the interview you will be required to complete a fit/weld practical test on a layout table** Requirements:

• Proof of Secondary School Diploma if requested.
• Clean shaven request may be required.
