As a leader in our community, we provide health promotion, protection, and disease prevention programs and services designed to help all members of the City of Brantford and the County of Brant maintain optimal health and well-being.*About the position: * Youth Test Shoppers work directly with Tobacco Enforcement Officers to ensure vendors comply with Tobacco Enforcement and Electronic Cigarettes Legislation which prohibit sales to minors. The Test Shoppers help enforce regulations by visiting designated retailers, as outlined in the Smoke Free Ontario Act (SFOA).*Qualifications and Competencies*:

  • Between 14 and 17 years of age.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and a responsible work ethic are required.
  • Observe and recall visual/factual information accurately.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and are able to provide proof of immunization.
Terms and conditions of employment in accordance with the Administrative Policies of the Brant County Health Unit.Wage rate: $15.50 per hour (plus 4% Vacation pay)Hours of Work: Scheduled workdays may occur between Monday and Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday or Sunday work may also be required.*Please apply with your cover letter and resume quoting Posting #552022 by November 30, 2022.*We thank all applicants for their interest.
