The Opportunity:The Finance Administrator is responsible for back-up to the Treasury Accountant function, assists Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable with banking related tasks and assists Invoicing with sourcing missing paperwork. Key Accountabilities:
  • Back-up the Treasury Accountant function by doing daily bank activity downloads, analysis, forecasts, transactions and related accounting and reconciliation.
  • Supporting Accounts Receivable by extracting bank information, posting deposits to customer accounts for collections and scanning cheques for deposit to the bank.
  • Supporting Accounts Payable by doing entry and manual payment postings in GP payables for payroll tax remittances which are generated in Treasury and similar items to relieve workload in Trade AP. This role will also be responsible for accounting/entries for billable shop work orders.
  • Assist Invoicing department with sourcing and retrieving incoming documents via Isaac several times a day to ensure billing can be completed in a timely manner.
  • Various other banking tasks and projects as required
What You Need To Be Successful In This Role:
  • College diploma in Finance, Accounting or related field years’ of relevant working experience
  • Advanced MS Excel skills,
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products and strong computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple high priority tasks
  • Strong self-discipline and initiative
  • Creative and effective problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
