JOB PURPOSE:This role will reside in the finance department but support the other functions of the business. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS / ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide financial planning and analytical support to all business partners including variance analysis, reporting, and identification of risks and opportunities.
  • Leading and developing a team of financial analysts (Operations Analyst and Sales Business Analyst) on a full-time basis
  • Continuing to build and develop Conestoga #39;s analytical capabilities, using fact based, data driven analysis to support business decision making
  • Provide analytics and recommendations to support the development and implementation of product, ales and operations opportunities
  • Be the functional lead for continuous improvement projects that require financial analysis.
  • Provide support for the annual planning and budgeting processes
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports and KPI reporting
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues in Sales, Producer Services and Operations
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis on an as needed basis
  • From time to time, hire and oversee the responsibilities and development of a co-op student and ensure they have a positive work experience
  • Special projects, reports and other duties as assigned
  • Develop a deep expertise in hog procurement and processing

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum undergraduate/bachelor #39;s degree in business, finance, economics or other related field
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning and Analysis
  • CPA designation or enrolled in an Accounting designation program (4th - 5th level of CPA) or equivalent work experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced level excel and financial modeling skills along with experience working in an ERP system
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Able to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Highly flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities with a drive to succeed
  • Self-starter, working independently but able to exercise sound judgement and confidence to ask questions
  • Professional, diplomatic, polite and trustworthy
