Job Description

Are you an experienced Hydrogeologist who is passionate in Environmental Engineering, Geology/Hydrogeology, or Water Resources Engineering and looking to take the next step in your career Agilus is recruiting for a Hydrogeologist in the Land Development industry in Kitchener, Ontario. A Hydrogeologist with P. Eng. designation, or P. Geo. designation who has a good understanding of applicable regulatory requirements (Ontario Water Resources Act, Environmental Protection Act and other applicable federal and provincial acts, regulations, and guidelines) and general engineering / hydrogeological practices and processes. Responsibilities:

  • Progressively assume increasing leadership and management of daily operations for the Hydrogeology Group in collaboration with existing leadership
  • Conduct hydrogeological assessments, dewatering assessments, surface water assessments, water supply studies, water taking permits
  • Data analysis, interpretation, and reporting (i.e. Hydrogeological Investigations and Groundwater Monitoring Reports)
  • Responsible for supervising and coordinating field activities associated with hydrogeological assessments, surface water assessments, water supply studies, Permits To Take Water
  • Develop and implement market strategies to drive growth in the Hydrogeology Group, in collaboration with existing leadership and management
Requirements:
  • Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements (Ontario Water Resources Act, Environmental Protection Act and other applicable federal and provincial acts, regulations, and guidelines) and general engineering / hydrogeological practices and processes
  • Knowledge of construction dewatering, groundwater and surface water interactions, and soil and bedrock classification
  • Experience with GIS, AutoCAD and Aquifer Test an asset
  • Regular travel to project sites is required. Mileage for work related travel will be reimbursed
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Geology/Hydrogeology, Earth Sciences or Water Resources Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Member in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario, with P. Eng. designation, or the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario, with P. Geo. designation
