Job Description

Tribe Management, part of the Tribe Property Technologies family, is the sixth largest strata/condo and rental management company in Canada with offices in downtown Vancouver, Delta, Victoria, Kelowna, Kamloops, Calgary and Cambridge.Our Tribe Management division specializes in condo and rental management services. We are responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of residentialamp; mixed-use properties in our portfolio. Combining our obsession with technology and an unwavering passion for creating vibrant strata communities, we provide community management with heart. While we operate in a very traditional industry, we are anything but! Our management services team works alongside product, software engineering and marketing teams to provide tech-enabled service solutions to those living in residential communities. We are looking for a part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) Building Manager to service a 12-unit residential apartment located in the Ingram Park subdivision of east – central Brooks, Alberta. Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for all administrative work involved in the operation of the Property according to procedures and set out by instruction from the Property Manager
  • Work cooperatively alongside other onsite staff to ensure the Property maintains a high standard of professionalism
  • Handle Move in/ Move out and bank deposits processes
  • Arranging and organizing vendors and working with maintenance
  • Cleaning the common areas and assisting with minor repairs in the common areas and inside the units
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs
  • Basic landscaping – lawn mowing, weeding, etc.
  • Issue Purchase Orders for all work and/or supplies being undertaken at the building and supervise contractors
  • Prepare detailed Incident Reports related to accidents, altercations, and damage to the property and/or other applicable incidents
  • Deal with emergencies on a 24hr on call basis during the workweek
  • Schedule and supervise move in and outs of the rental units
  • Maintain accurate tenant files and collect rents
  • Other duties as required from time to time, available for call outs
Qualifications 
  • 2-3 years of caretaking and/or building maintenance experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Computer proficient and the ability to learn and adapt to new software
  • Able to take direction and work well with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and own vehicle preferred
  • Professional working proficiency in language(s) spoken in Somalia is considered an asset
