REPORTS TO: GIS Solutions ArchitectLOCATION: Initial Placement – Burford Administration Office (Hybrid) Minimum Qualifications:

• Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent

• 3 years of experience in architecting and implementing GIS based solutions using ESRI software.
• Working knowledge of Arcadeamp; Python scripting.
• Experience coding with JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL is preferred).
• Working knowledge of architecting solutions with VertiGIS Products.
• Demonstrable skills creating documentation for system installation, configuration and maintenance.
• Knowledge of converting data, automating tasks and scheduling automations within FME.
• Advanced knowledge of GIS tools and methodologies for the administration of corporate GIS databases.
• Extensive working knowledge of ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal and ArcPro.
• Strong understanding of application development and the system development lifecycle.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, oral and time management skills.
• Proven analytical and problem solving abilities; including experience creating analytical based reports.
• Working knowledge of GIS APIs for system integrations

Assets: Any of the following;

• Experience within a municipal environment is considered an asset
• Experience working with different GIS data such as aerial imagery, LiDAR, StatsCan, Image Services, Map Services, and Feature Services.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the GIS Solutions Architect to identify opportunities or create solutions for business needs by using GIS based technology.
• Perform data editing as required.
• Work with other GIS staff to create and maintain database schemas.
• Maintain and develop solutions using VertiGIS Studio, VertiGIS Workflow, VertiGIS Reporting.
• Develop and create ESRI field maps for in field data capture and editing.
• Maintain and develop solutions using FME Flow and FME Form.
• Provide content administration, data dissemination, documentation, spatial analysis, map production, user training and support to business areas.
• Programming, coding and implementation of third party applications will be required.
• Build and maintain application integrations by utilizing APIs
• May be required to provide after hours on-call support to users.
• Ability to travel between County offices and facilities as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
