Job Description

Leggat Collision Center is looking for a 3rd or 4th Apprentice Body Technician in Burlington!Our Apprentices are responsible for working closely with the rest of the service team to learn and execute activities as assigned by the Shop Foreman or other Service Technicians. Apprentices should be motivated to learn and be open to feedback.About UsLeggat Auto Group represents 12 dealerships across Southern Ontario.   • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned.
  • Diagnose the source of any malfunction and perform the repair.
  • Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Explain procedures and repairs directly to the Service Advisors.
  • Perform road tests and safety inspections.
Successful Candidates Possess:
  • Valid Driver’s License (Class G) and a clean driving record.
  • minimum of one year Auto Body Repair experience
  • Registered with the Province of Ontario
  • Strong aptitude for technical/mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to work in a team and possesses strong interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude
  • Eagerness to improve
  • Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
  • Entry-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair preferred
  • Strong physical dexterity for working with tools
  • Collaborates well with others in a team setting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Punctual and reliable
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Has a customer service mentality
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications
