Job Description

Job DescriptionThe RoleReporting to the Area Manager, you will serve as the ultimate subject matter expert on shipping related information. You are the voice and ear for clients, with the prime objective of achieving sustainable growth for the locations across your area. You play a key role in protecting the bottom line by owning the hiring, staffing, development and retention of talent in the branches in your purview. You will also work closely with your Branch Leads and collaborate with Fleet, Warehouse, Fulfillment,and Member Experience to provide the support, training and optimizations needed to align your area with Chit Chats’ vision and goals.Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute any top-down company directives or changes that impact your assigned area with the help of key stakeholders.
  • Ensure optimal team health and performance by routinely visiting the locations in your assigned area.
  • Conducts regular employee and/or planning meetings to ensure workforce communication and understanding of operational updates and daily goals
  • Work closely with your Area Manager to maintain high employee engagement, retention, performance, and address staff-related concerns.
  • Provide training, coaching, feedback and recognition in real-time, through monthly 1:1’s, quality assurance reviews and quarterly performance reviews.
  • Enforce compliance of maintenance, upkeep, cleanliness, appearance and safety of all facilities in your region. Ensure all branches comply with health and safety standards, labor laws and all company policies.
  • Expenses/budget: Accountable for your area’s expenses, following protocol and headcount. Oversee the inventory and sales of business supplies and shipping supplies, returns.
  • Accountable for ensuring the timely resolution of any client concerns/tickets involving a location assigned to your area.
  • Cascade up/down communication: Complete daily check-in updates. Maintain open communication lines between leadership, branch leads and teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of goals, projects and reports.
  • Generate and compile monthly reports such as scheduling, investigation and escalation logs, shipment turnarounds for your region.
  • Escalate issues or concerns to the Area Manager as appropriate
  • Verify employee attendance in ZOHO daily
  • Perform quality audits and work with your Area Manager to implement 5S improvements
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the facility.
  • Responsible for scheduling vacations and time off per policy with the least amount of disruption to the network to meet customer needs.
  • Some travel within Canada is required, regular travel within the region is required
