Job Description

We provide people with growth opportunities. 30% of our frontline employees are promoted to become part of our operation teams.We are looking for anAssistant Security Supervisorto work at a Shopping Centre located at 900 Maple Ave, Burlington, ON. As a member of the GardaWorld team, your primary role is to ensure the safety and security of client assets, tenants and visitors to the assignment area in a professional and courteous manner. The hourly pay rate for this site is $19. 30 and we require someone that can work flexible hours. Typically, this locations hours are 1400 to 2200 and 1600 to 0000 on weekdays, and 0800 to 1600 on one weekend day. The exact days may alter based on the demands of the location but you will always receive 40 hours each week.Whats in it for you

What does a Assistant Security Supervisor in Burlington do
  • Plan, direct and ensure the smooth running of operations at the clients site
  • Develop and implement procedures and policies for security operations
  • Maintain protection systems for fire, theft and other disasters
  • Ensure the availability of emergency equipment
  • Perform patrols on foot
  • Provide excellent customer service to everyone on the property
  • Work closely with the mall services as well as with the emergency services when appropriate
  • Assist visitors, guests and the renters staff with respect to safety, requests for directions, escorts, package transportation, lost vehicles, etc.
  • Apply property rules and regulations in a fair and responsible manner
  • Write daily and incident reports
  • Intervene during medical emergencies and provide first aid
  • Be prepared to respond to situations of crime, urgency and disturbance occurring at the mall
  • Facilitate access to authorized persons to restricted areas
  • Monitor cameras to ensure proper operation of the shopping center
Qualifications to become a Assistant Security Supervisor in Burlington
  • 1 to 3 years experience in personnel management in a unionized environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English an asset)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Valid security guard license and first aid card
  • Must have G class Drivers License
  • Available to work flexible hours
