  • Provide payroll support for all units across Canada
  • Enter new hires, employee changes and terminations
  • Calculate and enter payroll adjustments/pay data in HR and payroll (ADP, Kronos Timekeeping) systems
  • Run monthly union reports, request payments, send reports to union groups
  • Support ROE process
  • Run reports for internal and external requests
  • Prepare manual cheques/ EFT’s for all units across Canada
  • Complete wage requests from Service Canada
  • Process government requests
  • Liaison with ADP, government agencies, units
  • Provide professional customer service to all units across Canada
  • Process stop payments, recalls, rejects, and traces, then update in HR/payroll systems
  • Resolve all inquiries relative to pay from employees, supervisors, and management at all levels, providing accurate and consistent interpretation of policies and procedures in a professional manner
  • Maintain confidentiality within the Payroll Department
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and Provincial payroll legislation
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives
  • Adhere to company policy
QualificationsWhat You’ll Need to Succeed:
  • 3 – 5 years payroll experience
  • Bilingual in French & English
  • PCP Designation an asset
  • Experience running Quebec payroll
  • Experience with ADP Globalview an asset
  • Experience with Kronos an asset
  • Experience with SAP/HR payroll an asset
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with thorough follow-up skills
  • Able to identify and respect confidential information
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency using MS Office applications, particularly able to manipulate Excel spreadsheets
  • Team oriented
  • Able to meet multiple deadlines, work under pressure with interruptions and conflicting priorities
  • Eager to learn and take on new challenges
  • Thorough, current understanding of Canadian Payroll legislation and ESA
