Job Description

YES TV is Canadas most watched faith and family values station. YES TV is licensed and regulated by the CRTC as a religious channel and an exclusively Canadian television station, available in 6.8 million homes across Canada.PurposeThis position contributes to the organization through the day to day coordination of commercial revenue and related material for YES TV as part of the Traffic team. The traffic team works as a high functioning unit responsible for fulfilling the expectations of the commercial customer, as well as regulatory and organizational requirements. Collectively this team is committed to efficiency and accuracy and believes this can be achieved through hard work, in a fun environment, in support of a Vision that is purposeful and fulfilling. We are looking for an individual who thrives in a team environment and would be favourable to the opportunity to assist in various areas of the department, filling in where needed and therefore assisting with multiple Broadcast Traffic functions. This position is a full time, on-site role in Burlington and is subject to slight changes in working hours during peak seasons to ensure full team coverage between 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily.experience requiredMinimum 2-3 years working in Broadcast TrafficReportingThe Traffic Coordinator reports directly to the Traffic Manager and works collaboratively with the Sales team and other members of the Traffic team.Work EnvironmentOur team enjoys a collaborative, entrepreneurial work environment, exposure to a wide variety of projects that can help develop practical, in-demand skills, plus the opportunity to make a direct, meaningful impact on the success of the station . Open office, casual, friendly and highly collaborative environment. (Temporarily remote)Areas of ResponsibilityJob Specific Duties1. Backfill for log editors when needed.2. Assist with order processing.3. Responsible for post editing of the regional logs and indieNET logs.4. Coordinate quality assurance of sales group codes to ensure accurate avails, logs, orders, and clearances prior to month end processes (billing & CRTC).5. Assist with the generation and distribution of Post Clearance reports to Direct Response and Retail clients (via sales coordinator).6. Assist with last minute log changes (as identified by MCR).7. Ensure that pull lists are clear of discrepancies daily.8. Assist Traffic Manager with any projects as needed.9. Assist with promo placement on logs.10. Assist with weekly bonus list.11. Other duties as required.‍Qualifications And Skills

  • Must have 2-3 years Industry-related broadcast experience
  • Familiarity with broadcast terminology
Required Technology Competencies
  • Proficiency on use of Specialty Data Systems Traffic system / or other traffic systems.
