Job Description

Our Village of Tansley Woods located in Burlington, Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Full-time COVID Tester/Screener to join our team.As a new COVID Tester/Screener you will:Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of service to our residents, visitors, and team members through comprehensive and effective administrative support.Our Team create exceptional customer experiences while acting as the first point of contact for incoming queries, managing screening supplies, creating documents for fellow team members, and supporting other members of the administrative team.Our Administrative team foster exemplary relationships with residents, their families and the Village team and support the efforts of the Village to provide holistic care to our residents.To be successful as a new COVID Tester/SCREEER you will:

  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Demonstrate thorough attention to detail and the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Perform screening and testing for Covid-19
  • Screen Team Members, Residents, Families coming in and out of the village and decline entry as required
  • Be excited by our objectives, our Village philosophy and the family values that shape all aspects of life in a Schlegel Village
  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
  • Be knowledgeable in Infection Control practices
It would be an asset if our new COVID Tester/Screener has:
  • A professional designation as a Physiotherapy Assistant, Lab Technician, Pharmacy Technician or Kinesiologist.
  • Previous experience working in the context of a Long-Term Care or Retirement Home
