A Level 5 309A Electrical Apprentice is required for a full-time position with a rapidly growing company located in Burlington, ON. We offer competitive wages and benefits after 3 months, transportation provided to work sites, and offer extensive and up-to-date training.JOB FUNCTION:As an apprentice, you will be working with our Electricians repairing, troubleshooting, and installing electrical systems in commercial, residential, and industrial settings. We are looking for an apprentice with experience to help us build our client base in this segment of our company.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: (including but not limited to)Ability to install wiring, lighting, conduit, smoke detectors, panels, generators, preventative maintenance, and communication cabling.Working with hand tools and power equipment.Maintaining a professional attitude and a clean working environment.Strong sense of urgency and commitment to assigned work while being cautious and safe.Other duties as assigned, required for site operations and personal development.COVID-19 Company PoliciesOur employees are often working in customer residences and places of business and must wear COVID-19 PPE while at work. Ele-Com supports and encourages all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19.THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:Must hold a valid apprentice 309A Electrician Construction and Maintenance license.Must possess an understanding of electrical drawings and schematics.Must have a strong understanding and knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code.Reliable transportation and hold a minimum of a G-license, insurable with a clean driving record.Ability to work flexible, 40 hours a week (overtime and travel as required).Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in using Microsoft and Windows environments.Own hand tools and CSA-approved (6” high) work boots and hard hats.Able to work in various climates and conditions.Highly physical with the ability to lift equipment and boxes – 50lbs without restriction.Experience leading jobs and crew is an asset.Knowledge and experience with Telecom, FTTS, installing and pulling Fiber is an asset.ATTRIBUTES:Honest, respectful, trustworthy, motivated, and proactive problem solver.Always act in a safe, professional manner and follow company policies and procedures.Be flexible, reliable, accountable with good time management skills.Work well in a team-based environment.If you meet the above requirements, we would be delighted to meet with you to discuss our future together, please reply with your resume.
