The Systems Analyst looks after day to day, monthly and annual reporting to support sales and distribution operations. The Analyst will also look after day to day system maintenance and pricing updates. Your objective is to develop and deliver timely and accurate reporting and analysis for Canadian sales and distribution using Excel VBA, while also providing daily support on our AS 400 and Oracle Financial operating system.Your key relationships will be with the Division President, Regional VPs, FP&A Manager and Retail Sales Manager, as well as the Product Manager, and Corporate Accounting/Finance Team.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Develop reporting tools to better facilitate communication between Sales and Operations to increase productivity and sales growth.
  • Work with the necessary people from the accounting and finance departments to help with any regular month end reporting and ad hoc requests.
  • Help merge all data flowing in from different sources to help with preparation of monthly P&L.
  • Track invoicing, rebates, freight, and discounts
  • Implement all price adjustments within the operating system (cost, sale prices, discounts, promotions).
  • Coordinates physical inventories.
  • Monitor cycle counts and obsolete inventory.
  • Work with plants and IT team on any mass system updates in Oracle.
  • Help prepare and modify Inventory, In Transit, and Obsolescence reports

QualificationsQualifications:Of course we need someone reliable – both in terms of the skillset you need to perform the tasks but also in terms of the personable and cooperative disposition you will bring to our team. Here’s what else we need you to bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  • Computer proficiency – experience in VBA, Microsoft Excel is essential to be successful in this role. Additional platforms include Financial Systems (e.g., Oracle) and Distribution Software (e.g., AS400 platform). Experience with Power BI is an asset.
  • Ability to flag numerical discrepancies, errors or any red flags within sales and operations.
  • Experience in distribution and/or building products and/or sales would be an asset.
  • Composure – quick turnaround on requests under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skill required for timely execution of tasks.
  • Reasoning – hold information and solve problems after receiving verbal or written cues or instructions.
  • Perceptual Speed – in recognizing detail including error/accuracy.
  • Numeracy – extremely comfortable with quantitative concepts, handling numbers.
