Job Description

Since 1961, Ancaster Court Surfaces Inc. have built tennis courts and running tracks of varying lengths, widths, and designs for private, commercial and government clients across Ontario.We are currently looking for a General Labourer to join our group of longstanding, devoted employees. Family values and healthy work-life balance are important components to our company culture.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Operating small equipment (saws, packers, etc.),
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites,
  • Carry, mix, pour and spread materials,
  • Assist heavy equipment operators,
  • Maintain tools and equipment in an organized manner,
  • Traffic control duties,
  • Inventory management activities,
  • Daily equipment inspections,
  • Accurate completion of daily project notes,
  • Actively participate in our health and safety program,
  • Other related duties as required.
Experience and other requirements:
  • Previous experience in landscaping, golf course maintenance, and/or general construction required,
  • Manual dexterity and proficiency in working with hand tools,
  • Willing to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions,
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 50 lbs. repeatedly,
  • Flexible to work days/nights/weekends,
  • Previous health and safety training is highly regarded (Working at Heights, WHMIS, etc.),
  • Previous forklift training is considered an asset,
  • Promote a positive and safe work environment,
  • Work well within a team environment,
  • A valid drivers’ license and clean driving record is required,
  • Willing and able to travel out of town from time to time.
