Job Description

As a Guest Service Agent at The Pearle Hotel & Spa, you are dedicated to assisting guests in many ways; warmly greet guests upon arrival, completing thorough check-in and check-outs, making reservations, providing information and other related duties. This service is delivered in a prompt, courteous and professional manner consistent with a luxury hotel operation. An excellent communicator in person, via email and over the telephone, a Guest Service Agent thrives on setting the stage for positive interactions and memorable stay experiences.Key Accountabilities

  • Provide personalized, warm, sincere and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity.
  • Use Guest Name and anticipate of each guest needs at every opportunity
  • Assist guests with check-in and check-out, warmly welcoming them to the property and promoting repeat stays.
  • Secure payment according to hotel policy
  • Ensure guests are aware of facilities on site and provide information on any property updates or activities in place during their stay.
  • Accommodate special request whenever possible, working closely with the Bell Team and At Your Service department to ensure actions are prompt and complete.
  • Liaise with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure guests’ requests are followed through.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of room pricing and packages, room locations and types of room.
  • Make hotel reservations for guests including coordinating meals and spa treatments.
  • Review arriving guest reservations to ensure that all details are correct and auxiliary items including spa & meals are booked correctly.
  • Assist Bell staff with luggage when required.
  • Coordinate departmental requests as required.
  • Perform office duties such as routine cash handling procedures, posting accounts, maintaining keys for rooms.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the property’s products, services and Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program
  • Suggest additional products and services meeting our guests’ specific preferences
  • All other duties as assigned
What we would like you to bring to the position:
  • 2-3 years Guest Service Agent or Front Desk experience preferred
  • Valid G driver’s license with clean driver’s history
  • Knowledge: Micros, Open Table and Opera PMS systems is an asset. Multi-line phone system
  • Communication: Listen attentively to guests questions and requests. Effectively share information about guest requests with relevant departments. Confidence in selling and up-selling products and services.
  • Organization: Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as necessary.
  • Personable: Professional appearance, positive and proactive attitude, and exhibits genuine and thoughtful hospitality in all interactions.
