Job Description

Primary Fluid Systems Inc. is an essential, small business located in Burlington, Ontario. We manufacture and sell metering pump accessories for use in the water & wastewater treatment industries, as well as oil & gas. We sell locally and internationally, with regular shipments to the U.S., Australia, and U.A.E. We have a number of stock items, but many of our orders are built specifically at the request of a customer. Because of this, attention to detail is extremely important to ensure that items are built to specification.We are currently hiring a Manual Machinist for a full-time and permanent position to assist with manufacturing parts using equipment such as a manual lathe (wood & metal), ultrasonic welder, mill machine, drill press, and CNC machine. The ideal candidate has experience with this equipment (maintenance, set up, operation, and production). All parts will be checked for conformity using measuring devices such as calipers, thread, and plug gauges. The Manual Machinist will be required to work with our R&D Engineer to accomplish their tasks. Responsibilities will also include assembling products using hand & power tools, testing products using an air hose, performing leak tests, packing products for shipping, and keeping track of inventory levels.We are looking for someone who has worked in a manufacturing environment, displays attention to detail, exceptional fine motor skills, and has a good attitude. Experience with the equipment mentioned above is welcome, though mechanical aptitude and the desire to learn is key.Required Skills:

Job Details:
  • Full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday (No weekends, no overtime requirements) between 8:00am and 4:30pm
  • Indoor work, with A/C in summer and heating in winter
  • Closed over the winter holidays

  • Start date: As soon as possible
