Job Description

Pharmacy technician is required to Support pharmacists in providing dispensary and pharmacy services .The Pharmacy Technician will receive direction from the pharmacist on duty and Pharmacy Manager .Experience in FillwareSpecific Responsibilities :

  • Excellent communication with patients to fulfill their needs
  • Receiving prescriptions from patients.
  • Checking the prescription Name; Address; DOB; Allergies; 3rd Party Information; Any regular medications.
  • Excellent Computer Skills : i.e. Data Entry;Patient Information Entry , medications , dosage , prescriber name etc…..
  • Filling prescriptions and invoices
  • Selecting and preparing appropriate products.
  • Labeling and organizing for pharmacist checking.
  • Maintaining appropriate stock levels of drugs and supplies
  • Checking for and pulling expired medications every 3 months
  • Order medications and pharmacy supplies
  • Stocking supplies (Vials, labels, bags)
  • Keeping the dispensary clean and organized.
  • Organize OTC medications and order them as directed
  • Adheres to all policies and standard operating procedures according to Ontario College of Pharmacy.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned.
