As such, we welcome talented individuals that have a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, and industry experience who will contribute to the success of our One Parkland team.Position Title: Program Manager – On The Run DealerTeam and Location: Calgary, AB or Burlington, ONPosition Summary: With the recent acquisition of the On the Run Convenience Store Brand in US & Canada - and with Parkland’s drive to lead the convenience store evolution - you will join a fast-paced team leading the rollout and day-to-day execution of the Dealer convenience store program across Canada. Your ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various Retail groups, including Merchandising, Marketing, IT, Finance, and Operations will be paramount in continuing to drive this strategic initiative forward. Your attention to detail and proactive nature – combined with your experience in the retail industry, merchandising and C-store franchising – will be the foundation of your success in this position. You will be a key member of a small team with high exposure both up and across the business, and a clearly defined objective of growing this program while ensuring the customer experience exceeds expectations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the roll-out and run-state of a national convenience store banner program under the On the Run brand
  • Drive program implementation and improvement by working cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, IT, Legal, and Construction
  • Review and optimize all required processes, systems and work packages for the program architecture, including contract design, evolvement of standards & norms, training and operational execution
  • Act as accountable owner of the business with stewardship of results and presentation to senior management
  • Act as point of contact for escalation & issue resolution as the Dealer On the Run Program owner
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Exceptionally high level of individual initiative and motivation, focus on quality of work, and attention to detail
  • Experience with convenience store programs, banner program development and execution, and merchandising
  • Ability to manage large projects/programs starting with developing and aligning stakeholders on scope, establishing key milestones and seeing the project through to completion
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen, and analytical ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented with an ability to work with a diverse team based in a field and corporate environment
  • Strong work experience, demonstrating organizational, communication and analytical skills, a proven record of positive business results, and an increasing level of responsibility.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Generally comfortable with technology and able to quickly learn new software.
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience in strategy, merchandising, business development and / or operations.
  • University degree/college diploma in business or related field
