We’re looking for individuals who light-up our store with their positivity & willingness to get things done.LOCATION: 750 Guelph Line, Burlington, ONAll staff MUST have a reliable source of transportation.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF STAFF AT AOME EXCHANGE: We strongly believe that keeping a clean & organized workplace from the get-go results in a smoother work day ahead, so all staff take part in daily cleaning and prep tasks such as vacuuming the floor, or hanging new merchandise up. You will have the opportunity to greet & engage with all our thrift-loving customers who search for new treasures within the clothing racks. You will also greet & direct our very special customer sellers who bring in their pre-loved clothing for us to review and make an offer. If you are a Buyer for our store, you’ll be trained on what styles & brands to look for, and how to explain the process to each customer effectively. You will become very familiar with the store layout as you will put away merchandise throughout the day. You will be able to purchase merchandise for yourself with a Staff Discount.POSITIONS: We expect all staff to eventually be fully capable of more than one position, however you may start with one of the following:- Sales Floor Associate- Cashier- Buyer- Fitting Room AttendantSHIFTS: - 20-40 Hours/WeekJOB REQUIREMENTS: - Able to take on the “AOME Exchange†way, be a team player and good ambassador for our company- Show up on-time every work day- Observant to small details- Professional attitude & way of speaking- Focused at work- Copes with personal & external work stresses well- Willingness to learn- Desire to improve & gain more responsibility within the company- Can complete a simple task list on-time- Takes on challenges with a positive attitude- Friendly, effective communication with customers in-store & over phone- Good organizational & multitasking skills- Ability to organize merchandise on the sales floor accurately- Good attitude & willingness to helpPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Brisk-walker- Can lift and walk with objects up to 25 lbsPREFERRED EXPERIENCE: - Customer service- Sales- CashierCOMPENSATION: All regular staff positions start at the legal minimum wage for Ontario.
