Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Utilizing material handling equipment such as a Raymond reach, fork truck, genie boom and scissor lift.
  • Loading and off-loading trucks.
  • Receiving (purchase orders & work orders) using both AS400 & SAP software, then placing the parts into inventory.
  • Order picking and packing for both OEM and aftermarket parts divisions.
  • Building skids, crates and reinforcing them when required.
  • Operating packaging equipment such as a steel/cloth bander, stretch wrap and foam pack machine.
  • Packaging product using product packaging standards.
  • Shipping using UPS/FedEx software. Preparing labels, including any special labels that are customer required, and affixing them on packed cartons, skids, or crates in an accurate manner.
  • Maintaining inventory of shipping supplies.
  • Coordinating local shipments of goods, completing bill of lading paperwork.
  • Cycle counting.
  • Exterior maintenance when required (snow removal/garbage).
  • Daily department housekeeping.
  • Participating in our safety observation program.
Preferred Experience
  • Working knowledge of AS400, SAP, Microsoft Excel and Word software.
  • Good communication skills for dealing with internal & external customers.
  • Ability to lift, or move, objects up to 40 pounds.
  • Experience with material handling equipment such as fork truck and Raymond reach.
  • Shipping & receiving experience using FedEx & UPS software.
  • Attention to detail regarding part number verification, counting, weighing, or measuring outgoing shipments (verifying information against bills of lading, invoices, work orders, or other records).
