Job Description

Miles HR has a contract opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join this excellent company in Burnaby, BC known for its commitment to excellence and innovation. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team on a contract basis until the end of December 2023.Position Overview:Your responsibilities will include processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of our financial obligations. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a commitment to accuracy, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process high volume vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to verify the completeness of transactions.
  • Perform reconciliation of vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process payments through various methods
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address invoice and payment inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable best practices and relevant regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
