Combined with explosive growth in the industry, plus having gone public in April 2021, our business is at an exciting point in its journey.This position is part of shared services within Freshlocal Solutions, which supports all entities.SPUD.CA is looking for a full-time, permanent Accounts Payable Supervisor based out of our South Burnaby, BC head office (#105 5566 Trapp Avenue). This position will be mostly remote, but will require some in-office days. Permanently this position will be hybrid of remote and in-office with a date TBD. The Accounts Payable Supervisor reports into the Accounts Payable Manager and oversees the Accounts Payable team consisting of a Lead, Clerks and Coordinators.Duties & Responsibilities:

• Establish new vendors in different accounting software ensuring unity between systems
• Manage all aspects of the workflow associated with the timely and accurate processing for payment of internal and external payable-related (invoices, expense reports,etc.) documents in accordance with department and Company policies and procedures
• Support the Accounting Department with month end and year end A/P close and A/P accruals
• Manage day to day AP activities including supervising the AP team, fostering communication and work sharing across the group
• Assigning and resolving FreshDesk tickets
• Create weekly cheque runs based off of cash flow forecast
• Provide guidance and support to AP team members

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A minimum of three years work experience in accounts payable in a high-volume environment
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience is preferred
• Strong English language verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle pressure and deadlines, and comfortable with change
• Positive attitude to work in an entrepreneurial company that is growing quickly and paving the way in e-commerce
• Experience with D365, SAP(Ariba, S/4HANA), or Sage X3 is a great asset

Compensation:

• An annual salary, paid bi-weekly
