Job Description

As such, we welcome talented individuals that have a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, and industry experience who will contribute to the success of our One Parkland team.Position Title: Area 1, ShipperTeam and Location: Parkland Refinery – Burnaby BCPosition Summary:The Area 1 Shipper position is an entry level position. Minimum 4th Class Steam Ticket is required. Selection for this position will be in accordance with Article 10.03 of the UNIFOR Collective Bargaining Agreement.Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading/Unloading railcars (Crude/LPG/Lipids)
  • Environmental care regarding API separators and the Foreshore
  • Tank Farm support as required
  • Safety Standby and Fire watch support
  • Assist with rail logistics as required
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Demonstrated commitment to IIF Operations, LPS behaviors
  • Ability to establish strong relationships within a team environment
  • Ability to organize work, meet deadlines, manage a variable work schedule, and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
  • Previous railcar experience is considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve effectively
  • A valid Fourth-Class Power Engineering Certificate is a minimum requirement for consideration for this position
Additional Information:
  • Days of Work: 4 Shifts (Mon-Thu, Fri-Mon or Tue-Sat)
  • Hours of Work: 9.5hrs/day
  • Rate of pay: As per the Unifor agreement (Position is not part of the ODP)
