Job Description

On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Test Automation Developeramp; Performance Tester to join our Client #39;s team on a contract basis. This role is Hybrid, and the Client is based in Burnaby, BC.Summary of the RoleThe Test Automation Developeramp; Performance Tester will be responsible for developing automated testing solutions and executing performance testing activities to ensure optimal system performance. The role is evenly split between automation and performance testing responsibilities.Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:

• Plan and develop automated test scripts in collaboration with functional test teams, ensuring alignment with organizational coding and data management standards.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and developers to define non-functional requirements and lead performance testing initiatives.
• Prepare comprehensive performance test reports with actionable findings and optimization recommendations.
• Enhance automation frameworks and libraries, identifying high-value opportunities for further automation.
• Identify, document, and troubleshoot software defects, and support resolution through consultation with stakeholders.

Core Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in automation script development and performance testing.
• Proficiency in LoadRunner and JMeter for developing and maintaining performance test scripts.
• Development experience with OpenText UFT One, Tricentis Tosca, and Selenium.
• Experience in both test automation and performance testing (50/50 workload split).
• Experience with REST and SOAP API test automation.

Desired Skillsamp; Experience:

• Familiarity with source control and CI tools such as GIT and Jenkins.
• Strong background with HP UFT and SAP API testing.
• Experience using HP ALM and JIRA for test management and defect tracking.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel for report writing and data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and stakeholder reporting.

TermsThis is a 12-month contract role ending May 26, 2026. The work arrangement is hybrid, with three days per week required onsite at the Client’s Burnaby (Edmonds) location.
