Job Description

On behalf of our Higher Education Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Business Analyst (Payrollamp; Timekeeping ERP) to join our Client #39;s team on a 5-month contract basis, with the possibility of renewal. This role is Hybrid (3 days onsite per week, 5 days onsite during training), and the Client is based in Burnaby, BC.Summary of the Role:Our client is seeking a Business Analyst with expertise in payroll and timekeeping ERP systems. The successful candidate will support the implementation of a timekeeping system, focusing on payroll code processes, deduction codes, and data integration. This role involves documentation, testing, configuration, troubleshooting, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure a smooth implementation.Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:

  • Document business requirements, workflows, and system configurations.
  • Support ERP system implementation for payroll and timekeeping modules.
  • Participate in system setup, configuration discussions, and process optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related system issues.
  • Use SQL to extract and analyze data, ensuring accuracy and process integrity.
  • Conduct system testing, validation, and UAT.
  • Collaborate with payroll, HR, and IT teams to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Provide technical guidance to non-technical stakeholders.
Core Requirements:
  • Experience implementing payroll and timekeeping ERP systems (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft, Workday, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong understanding of timekeeping and payroll processes in large organizations.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll codes, deduction codes, and payroll processing workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Desired Skillsamp; Experience:
  • Experience with Banner ERP in payroll and timekeeping modules.
  • Background in higher education or public sector environments.
Terms:This is a 5-month contract with the possibility of renewal. The role requires a hybrid work arrangement (3 days onsite per week, 5 days onsite during training) at the Client’s Burnaby location.
