Job Description

The RoleWe’re looking for a Business Development Manager who is passionate about strategic prospecting and hunting for new business. This is an outside sales role focused on cold outreach and pipeline creation, leaving no stone left unturned while looking for new business opportunities. You will be a key member of the team responsible for driving our ambitious growth goals for Freight Club and selling our cutting-edge freight management SaaS platform.The OpportunityWith our innovative predictive freight platform that searches for optimal routes based on delivery specs, we provide our clients with super shipping discounts to move freight products across North America.   • Focus exclusively on outbound business development
  • Prospect and qualify new sales leads through daily cold calls and emails
  • Book meetings for and work closely with Account Directors to help create new opportunities and close new business
  • Learn the industry and the Freight Club offering inside and out to be able to handle objections with ease
  • Manage your pipeline of prospects through CRM and tech-stack
  • Work with the rest of the Business Development team to refine messaging and outreach strategy
Who You Are:
  • Strong proven experience (1+ years) in an outside sales environment, or similar experience
  • Results focused – driven by targets, metrics, and goals, with a strong track record of success
  • Not afraid of the word “no” – able to push through rejection and find the next opportunity
  • Passion for new business and a genuine love of hunting and prospecting
  • You love helping prospective partners understand how technology-based products can add value to their business and are passionate about technology yourself!
  • You love learning in general and are keen to build a career in sales
  • You’re an exceptional communicator and a natural on the phones
