More information can be found here.A great opportunity to take the next step in your careerThe Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB) regulates all gambling in British Columbia and ensures the integrity of gambling industry companies, people, and equipment. This includes regulatory oversight of commercial gambling conducted and managed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) (e.g. lotteries, casinos, community gaming centers, commercial bingo halls and online gambling on PlayNow.com), British Columbia’s horse racing industry, and licensed charitable gambling events. GPEB is also responsible for the administration of Gambling Support BC and, through their programming, for reducing harms from gambling products.The Enforcement Division investigates instances of any conduct, activity or incident occurring in connection with gambling that could threaten the integrity of the gambling industry, including any such conduct, activity or incident that occurs on the property of a gambling facility. In support of their regulatory responsibilities, this Division enforces provisions of the Gaming Control Act, Gaming Control Regulations, Criminal Code of Canada and other provincial statutes.Intelligence specialists work collaboratively with law enforcement partners, within the Gaming Intelligence Investigation Unit (GIIU), to develop timely, actionable intelligence for all levels of law enforcement and GPEB. They are also responsible for developing business and strategic intelligence to inform government decision making on broader issues such as policy and legislation.This position receives, reviews and validates incoming submissions, complaints, investigation requests and clarify the information with Service Providers, Police Agencies, General Public, GPEB or BCLC as necessary.
