Union/Affiliation:Administrative and Professional Staff (APSA)Pay range:$56,922 To $67,976 AnnuallySFU Department Descr:Graduate and Postdoctoral StudiesPosition Grade:7Biweekly Hours:72Reporting to the Associate Director, Graduate Admission, Records and Registration, is responsible for administering and providing advice to academic units/programs on academic curriculum and associated procedures/policies. The incumbent provides administrative and procedural support to the Dean, Graduate Studies, the Senate Graduate Studies Committee, and constituents in Graduate program areas by: providing advice regarding the application of Graduate General Studies academic policies and procedures; reviewing documents to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; and monitoring the consistency of Graduate program information across multiple channels (e.g., the Associate Registrar, the academic calendar, departmental websites, etc.). The Coordinator responds to a wide range of inquiries related to Graduate Studies procedures, criteria, and guidelines and maintains training materials to be used by Graduate program staff in multiple program areas. The Coordinator provides consultation, and direct support to advance on projects and initiatives for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.Qualifications:Undergraduate degree and three years of related experience, including program administration in a post-secondary environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Excellent knowledge of academic program administration, admissions processes, and related administrative practices.Excellent knowledge of enterprise and business area level student information systems and applications (e.g. PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, OASIS, GA3).Excellent research, analytical reasoning, and report writing skills.Excellent organizational and administrative skills.Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.Ability to exercise tact and discretion when dealing with highly confidential and sensitive matters.Ability to interpret and apply University policies and procedures.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of constituents.Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).Proficient in the use of enterprise software systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) and website management tools (e.g., Dreamweaver, CQ5, HTML, etc.).Job description is under review.Assignment End Date: November 12, 2021Please include your cover letter and resume in one attachment.
