Job Description

Moving beyond compliance, we truly value the experience and knowledge brought to our Indigenous partnerships by community leaders and knowledge keepers.We are looking for a motivated person who is committed to growing their professional career at Procon while gaining valuable knowledge and experience.Position Summary:Reporting to the Equipment Division Manager, the Field Maintenance Coordinator works in close collaboration with members of the assigned site maintenance departments.This position can be filled in Saskatoon, SK, Nisku, AB or Burnaby, BC.Responsibilities:As a Field Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible and accountable for the following:

  • Ensure Equipment Preventative Maintenance schedules are met.
  • Track maintenance metrics (KPI’s) and develop strategies to improve it.
  • Maintain organize and enter all relevant equipment documentation in files and Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Ensure consistency between all assigned sites to adhere to Procon policies and procedures in accordance with maintenance practices.
  • Facilitate effective coordination of maintenance work activities on assigned sites.
  • Communicate daily with Master Mechanics on all assigned sites.
  • Liaison between site Master Mechanics and Procon Equipment division.
  • Travel to site as required to assist in trouble shooting repairs and to assist with time restrictive deadlines and during project mobilization and demobilization stages.
  • Commissioning of all equipment for assigned sites.
  • Creating and maintaining critical spare/inventory lists parts for assigned sites.
  • Follow up and track all orders from assigned site to ensure required delivery deadlines are met;
  • Subject matter expert providing appropriate support for site maintenance employees.
  • Ensure that equipment availability meets or exceeds all production requirements by ensuring that all fleets are maintained in a safe, efficient and effective manner at sites
  • Provide technical feedback and complete technical bid evaluations for maintenance assets during the procurement process
  • Modelling the right behavior, coach and mentor subordinates in regard to employee relations, safety, environmental, productivity and cost issues and address inappropriate behavior as required
  • Participate in scheduled investigations involving safety incidents, accidents and near misses
  • Ensure that reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Modeling values lead by example and encouragement adhering to Procon’s Health and Safety Code of Conduct
  • Annual compliancy site visits
  • Other duties may be required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as heavy-duty mechanic with proven supervisory skills
  • Red Seal Journeyman certification
  • Experience in the mining industry with underground equipment is required
  • A valid first aid certificate is preferred
  • CAT Service Information System (SIS) Competency
  • Planning experience using ERP systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written)
