Location:Burnaby, British Columbia, CAReq ID: 27611Jobs by Category: HealthJob Function: Health SolutionsStatus: Part TimeSchedule: RegularDescriptionLocation: Burnaby BCStatus: Part Time (3 days/24 hours per week)Create awesome experiences for our clients.Join our teamTELUS Health is looking for a full-time Fitness & Wellness Consultant in Burnaby.Heres the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish togetherThe Fitness & Wellness Consultant will be responsible for teaching a variety of group exercise classes, monitoring the gym, and promoting health and wellness to the gym facility membership.Here’s how

  • Supervision of a corporate fitness and wellness facility
  • Providing virtual fitness (where required) and wellness programming
  • Instructing and scheduling of fitness classes and monitoring participation
  • Monitoring gym use to provide guidance and ensure safety of gym members
  • Assisting in equipment maintenance management, including recommendations for purchasing new and replacing existing equipment
  • Reporting of monthly and/or quarterly usage stats
  • Facilitate the completion of GAQ screening forms and waivers for new members and annually
  • Ensure COVID19 public health measures/cleaning protocols are followed in the gym e.g. wearing of masks, hand sanitizing, wiping equipment, restrict numbers using the gym at one time
QualificationsYoure the missing piece of the puzzle
  • Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness or Health promotion
  • Current certifications in personal training, group fitness and CPR/First Aid/AED
  • Energetic, confident, reliable, positive, engaging with a passion for fitness and health
  • High degree of self-motivation and initiative
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills with ability to adapt to and learn various software applications
  • Experience in the corporate fitness & wellness field an asset
