Job Description

Help Desk (Tier 1/2) – Contract position in Burnaby (hybrid model):On behalf of our client in Burnaby, Ignite Technical Resources is looking for a Junior Helpdesk Support Technician for a 3+ month contract opportunity.Role Description:The successful candidate will work with a team of approximately 6 IT staff and spend the majority of their time resolving Level 1 help desk tickets via phone, email, and in-person at their Burnaby office for local and remote employees.Requirements:

  • A degree or certificate in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field (equivalent work experience will be considered).
  • At least 1 year of directly related, hands-on work experience in a similar role working for enterprise-sized companies.
  • Experience in a Windows 7 environment with MS Office 2010+.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who possess one or more of the following certifications: A+ Computer Technician, MCSE/MCSA, or similar.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a MUST.
  • An overall mature, friendly and upbeat person with a positive "can-do" attitude.
Nice-to-have:
  • Familiarity with Heat (ticketing system).
  • Access to a vehicle (Office is not easily accessible by public transit).
