Position OverviewWe’re looking for an independent contractor to join our Eagle Mountain – Woodfibre Gas Pipeline (EGP) project team and help us supply safe and reliable natural gas to our customers in Squamish.We need your expertise to take on the role of Contracts Manager, Facilities, providing expert input to the development of EGP contracts and procurement plans and deliver on strategies in support of project execution. The EGP Project is currently in its planning phase with a projected in-service date of Fall 2025.Your history of delivering world-class projects proves you know how to balance envisioning the big picture while you zero in to address the most specific of project needs. You know contract evaluation, awarding and procurement practices like the back of your hand and can tactfully coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure project timelines and supply chains are always running smoothly. In this role, you will:Oversee day to day procurement activities of the detailed facilities design contract.Coordinate, plan and support our leadership team responsible for purchase order and contract negotiations.Undertake the development and delivery of the compression and metering equipment sourcing plan and construction contracting plan for the project.Liaise with various supporting teams, including project management and construction teams, regulatory and environmental leads, legal counsels, Indigenous stakeholders and more. What it takes:10 years of experience in the planning and delivery of major construction contracts and high value equipment procurement in Canada, some of which should be in owner organizations.Relevant technical or commercial qualifications appropriate to high-value energy infrastructure capital works.Evidence of increasing responsibility within both project and corporate supply chain roles.Ability to lead and influence multiple internal and external stakeholders to support world class project execution.A proactive and accountable attitude, highly ethical with strong organization and self-management attributes.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
