Mustang SurvivalWe are looking for experienced sewers who have experience working with technical garments. We have a fantastic work environment in our state-of-the-art production facility, great team atmosphere and regular team activities like ping pong tournaments for our staff.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperate an industrial sewing machine (Single Needle, Serging, Binding Folders) or other machinery (Bartacker, Regular Programmable, and Flip-flop) to assemble garments according to the appropriate methods and techniques for each productEnsure proper operation of the sewing machine by cleaning, refilling oil, changing needles, detecting bobbin-winding problems, and testing the machinePerform hand sewing or machine sewing on repairs as requiredEnsure quality requirements are met based on instructions/specification/ trainingSupport all sewing relative operations, and when required cross-training for other operations to support production/module performanceHandle Seam Taping, Inspection & Testing and PackingMaintain a clean and safe immediate workspace. Follows all Safety Regulations and reports all hazards, injuries and accidents to the supervisor immediately.QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSGrade 10 education or equivalentThree to five years’ experience in an industrial sewing experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read and comprehend basic English instructionsCapable to follow verbal and/or written work instructions and techniques.Good basic sewing skills with the ability to handle various fabrics and sewing operations at an efficient and accurate levelAbility to meet production, quality, and efficiency standardsGood finger dexterityPhysical strength for arranging garments (15 to 20lbs)Good work ethic, honest, patient, reliable and carefulAbility to work in a self-sufficient environmentAbility to adapt in a continuously changing environmentASSETSIndustrial sewing experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an assetExtensive garment manufacturing skills and knowledge is an assetJob Type: Permanent full time
