You have advanced knowledge of servers, networking, and storage for troubleshooting purposes. You are ambitious to improve your skillset and knowledge base and are enthusiastic about your commitment to life-long learning.As a full-time Systems Administrator, your core mission is to assist other Nerds to support our clients’ IT needs. This is a mid-level role.You are responsible for:Responding to help requests from team members and clientsAccepting technical support ticketsMonitoring tickets from the time they are opened until the time they are closedAssisting team members or clients with technology-related issuesUnderstanding the issue and its cause; solving the problem; and explaining the problem to the team member or clientAssisting the Site Lead with Project Planning and Deployment StrategiesCommunicating technical information to non-technical usersTroubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues and requestsDesigning solutions to help resolve system-related business problems, meet user requirements, and streamline system workflowsDeveloping relationships internally with the company as well as externally with the clientsWhat you have:Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar roleStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent planning, organizing, and time management skills; ability to set priorities and deadlines; meeting deadlinesExperience with the Microsoft stack of technologiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including listening skillsExperience working in a ticketing system with detailed note-taking skillsKnowledge of IT Infrastructure including servers, storage, access points, and network switchesAbility to explain a complex technical solution to a regular/non-technical userAbility to maintain a professional demeanor under stress while maintaining a positive attitudeAbility to work well with peopleAbility to quickly establish good working relationships with clientsThe following would be considered an asset:Knowledge of integrating Mac into a Windows environmentNetwork+Desired Certification:A+Microsoft certification(s) MCSA or MCITPCISCO certifications(s) CCNAMCSE/equivalentTravel:Travel to corporate locations throughout lower-mainlandBurnaby-based head officeWhat We Offer:Ongoing training and developmentExposure to business processesGrowth within the organizationAn amazing teamHow to Apply:To be considered for this role please apply online by submitting a cover letter and resume.
