We headquartered in Calgary and maintain a satellite office in Houston.What You Would Do in This RoleThe Senior Expeditor is responsible for planning and performing expediting activities to ensure the timely delivery of documentation, materials and equipment to meet project requirements. Duties include:

• Working within a project team environment, potentially on multiple projects
• Proactively performing expediting activities to ensure the delivery of equipment, materials, services and related documentation
• Developing and maintaining status reports
• Leading purchase order kick-off meetings
• Shop expediting purchase orders, as required
• Initiating the close-out of purchase orders
• Communicating with suppliers to resolve issues affecting a purchase order
• Attending status meetings with clients, project management and suppliers
• Mentoring, supporting and guiding staff
• Assisting the procurement lead in the development or improvement of corporate work processes and procedures
• Performing other duties as requested

Requirements

• Ten or more years procurement experience with a minimum seven years of expediting experience in an engineering, procurement, construction environment
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to adapt in a changing environment
• Ability to work without supervision

Preferred

• Post-secondary certification or equivalent
