Job Description

DescriptionThe OpportunityReporting directly to the Supervisor, Community Support and Events, this role is responsible for providing customer service administration for Community Services. This permanent full-time role promotes and assists with the delivery of services in a professional, friendly and efficient manner. As an Administrator, Community Services you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to the supervisory team including typing correspondence, reports, statistical reports, month invoices, letters, etc.
  • As a primary point of contact for the facilities, provide information regarding facility rentals, available programs and other town-related information
  • Receive mail, calls and users to the facility and effectively handle customer concerns for all programs, rentals and services provided. Direct inquires as appropriate.
  • Administer facility rentals and other programs or services
  • Balance all payments received for program registrations and facility usage, verify floats and bank deposits, and complete required revenue reports and documentation to ensure cash handing guidelines and standards are met
The Ideal CandidateWe are seeking a customer service professional with training and knowledge in the above, normally acquired from a post-secondary diploma in Recreation and Leisure, Business Administration, or closely related field. Our ideal candidate has minimum 1-3 years related experience in a municipal / office environment, certification in CPR “C” with AED and Standard First Aid, and completion of Health Child Development (HIGH FIVE). Additional certification (Quest 1, Quest 2 or Trainer) with HIGH FIVE would be an asset.The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to give, obtain and/or exchange routine information. We are seeking an individual with organizational skills with considerable attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The successful candidate for Administrator, Community Services will be required to work a flexible schedule, including in the office, remotely and after hours (as required).This position offers a salary range of $59,044.34 - $ 72,358.50 plus a competitive benefit package.Satisfactory passing of a criminal record check and proof of qualifications will be required of any successful candidate(s) for this position.New employees who commence employment on or after November 15, 2021 are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as a condition of employment. Being fully vaccinated is determined as the status of having received the full series of approved vaccines (both doses of a two dose vaccine series, one dose of a single dose vaccine series) and any additional doses required and approved by Health Canada and having satisfied the full post vaccination period required to ensure vaccination efficacy. The Town of Caledon reserves the right to request proof of vaccination at any time. Acceptable proof includes an Ontario Ministry of Health COVID-19 vaccine receipt which you can obtain through the Provincial portal https://covid19.ontariohealth.ca/, or other government-issued vaccine passport or certification.
