CALEDON SOCCER CLUBPosition Title: Grass Roots ManagerReports To: Club Technical Director/ Head CoachType of Position: Part Time Paid PositionStart Date: TBDOverview:The Grass Roots Manager will work with our recreational program from U6 to U12 working with volunteercoaches and game leaders. This role is responsible for practice curriculums working with the Club TechnicalDirector and helping the volunteer coaches and game leaders. Promoting to the players and parents ourDevelopment Program Teams and our Academy Programs. To teach and develop coaches and young playerswithin a safe, disciplined and challenging environment where they can learn to love the game and beencouraged to stay in the sport. The position manages all aspects of the program andKey Duties and ResponsibilitiesTechnicalØ Ability to design, lead and implement training sessions based on the Age Group Curriculum andfollowing CSA LTPD guidelines, with assistance from Club Technical Director.Ø Oversee the scouting, identification, and selection of players by scouting the RecreationalProgram for Development teamsØ Promote all club academy programs and development programs to the parent groupØ Manage and structure a school program for local Caledon schools to promote Caledon SCØ Additional responsibilities assigned by CSC Technical DirectorAdministrationØ Prepare a yearly update reportØ Maintain a tracking sheet by age groupExperience, Qualifications and KnowledgeØ Ideally you have completed the CSA Children’s License or have completed the grassroots coachingcourses. RIS, Making Headway, Making Ethical Decisions.
