Job Description

Workforce Planning and Employment

  • Review resumes
  • Track, sort and shortlist applicants
  • Conduct phone interviews with shortlisted applicants
  • Perform background investigations
  • Communicate employer information and benefits during the telephone screening process.
  • Provide summary profiles of selected candidates with interview recommendations.
  • Coordinate interviews with the selected candidates, hiring manger and Human Resources
  • Interviewing applicants
  • Network with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations
  • Remain current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and applicable legislation regarding employment practices
  • Complete timely reports on employment activity
  • Maintain accuracy with files, records and associated documentation
  • Ensure staffing goals are achieved
  • Implementing the organization’s recruiting strategy
  • Processing transfers, promotions, and terminations
  • Resolving employee issues, creating and implementing problem solving strategies.
  • Employee write ups, track damage and report.
HR Development
  • Review existing documentation and updating as required
  • Creating workflows to prepare for online APP
  • Research software options and confirm requirements best suited for Magine
  • Software development liaisons, testing, implementation, and maintenance
Employee and Labor Relations (union environments)
  • Interpreting union contracts
  • Helping to negotiate collective bargaining agreements
  • Resolving grievances
  • Advising supervisors on union contract interpretation
  • Employment laws
Employee and Labor Relations (non-union environments)
  • Assisting with processing employee grievances
  • Overseeing engagement programs and other employee relations work
Health and safety
  • Maintain, develop and administer health and safety programs.
  • Conducting safety inspections
  • Maintaining all safety and accident records
  • Preparing government reports as to remain in compliance
