In joining Kingspan you become an important part of a growing organization with a reputation for innovative design and use of technology, technical expertise, product quality, service excellence, and dedication to sustainability.Ready to be part of our teamWe are looking for a Project Manager for our Caledon, Ontario office!Summary: Responsible for leading the planning and implementation of projects for our customers, including managing the order process, sample requests, order status, scheduling, and shipping, from receipt of purchase order through until completion of contract. Will define the goals and project tasks and resource requirements for successful and on-time completion while maintaining excellent relationships with clients. Responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience through prompt, clear, professional, proactive communication, and efficient order management. Initiates and manages the collection of submittals and all other project critical information. Conducts detailed review of quotation, purchase order, and order acknowledgement for consistency and alignment. Serves as not only the primary customer contact point for any given project, but also the internal contact with KNA Estimating, Drafting, Operations and Finance departments.Responsibilities:Essential Duties:

  • Work collaboratively with all internal departments and resources to ensure the customer has positive experiences throughout the order lifecycle.
  • Deliver the highest standards of responsive and proactive customer communications.
  • Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, to external customers and internal stakeholders
  • Respond to customer calls providing project updates and handling customer needs in a confident, professional manner.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage projects, programs, and processes to ensure that the highest standards and service level requirements are delivered.
  • Maintain project tracking in Salesforce, monitor deadlines, and scheduling requirements.
  • Convey accurate customer delivery requirements to Scheduling.
  • Maintain all project information and documentation in Salesforce.
  • Manage and maintain job order files ensuring all relevant paperwork is sent to and received from customers; following up as necessary.
  • Prioritizing job administration to meet customers’ delivery dates.
  • Work with cross-functional business partners to share and deploy best practices.
  • Use sound judgment and conflict resolution to handle customer complaints with the objective of satisfying the customer while still protecting the company against undue risk.
  • Objectively evaluate risk to project objectives and be comfortable making difficult decisions, as well as dealing with a certain degree of ambiguity and is capable of making sound business decisions with minimal guidance.
  • Read and analyze project drawings and shop drawings to gain a complete understanding of projects and to provide customer feedback.
  • Review and analyze project budget constraints while considering material cost.
  • Understand and communicate project scope changes along with associated cost increases.
  • Ensure all project close out documents (warranties) are sent to customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Project Management, or related field
  • Drafting or engineering qualifications preferred
  • PMP Designation preferred
  • Solid understanding of construction environment
  • Ability to read and comprehend customer fabrication and erection drawings, construction methods, and terminology
  • At least five (5) years’ experience working with customers in a Project Manager capacity within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while dealing with the challenges of a very fast-paced environment
  • High degree of accuracy and meticulousness about details
  • A pro-active personality with high energy, self-motivation, and strong decision-making skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and follow-up skills
Computer Skills:
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel applications and Outlook
  • Solid experience with CRM software
  • SAP or other equivalent ERP software knowledge is a must
